It seems that the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 will have a bunch of Maserati models to demonstrate. The world famous Italian automaker brought the improved versions of their Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans to the currently running Frankfurt motor show. Maserati's executives also confirmed the previously delayed Levante. The long-anticipated SUV will finally debut by the end of the first quarter of 2016.
It means that Maserati aficionados will be able to look at the Levante SUV during the upcoming Geneva motor show or even earlier during the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The Levante's commercial launch is expected several months later after the demonstration.
Speaking about the Maserati's lineup, finally the automaker added to it Euro VI homologation standards for all current gas engines that are also equipped with double-turbocharged V6 currently used both by the Quattroporte and Ghibli sedans, including the V8 engine implemented in the Quattroporte. Such implementations helped to achieve a 12 % reduced fuel consumption, along with decreased emissions.
Maserati introduced the updated diesel engines that were implemented with AdBlue catalytic reduction tech. The efficiency numbers of the 3.0-L diesel V6 of the Ghibli sedan remain unchanged though they manage to produce 275 horsepower. It means that finally the European continent will receive clearer diesel engines thanks to Maserati.
