When SLS supercar by Mercedes-AMG was replaced by more accessible GT, many fans of the firm wondered what will be done to satisfy the needs of the numerous SLS customers as well as the owners of the McLaren-Mercedes SLR models. The GT's price tag is twice cheaper than the SLS but still there is a high demand for the SLS models in the line-up of Mercedes-AMG series.

There are rumors that the firm will launch the up-market version of the GT series, featuring the popular Black Series model. There is also expected the run of the brand new special SLS models, but there are certain doubts about this particular rumors since most SLS model owners will be displeased to find out that their cars have lost the exclusive status.

There is some leak that AMG will do a standalone hypercar, equipped with a twin-turbocharged V-12 engine entwined with the plugin hybrid system. If the rumors will turn out to be true, we should expect for a 1000 horsepower hypercar that will also offer the significant fuel economy (working as the analogue to Porsche 918 Spyder or the McLaren P1).
